1. Sweets and Chocolates:

When you eat foods that are high in sugar or refined flour, your blood sugar rises, causing your insulin to spike.  This causes the body to produce more hormones, which can lead to the shrinkage of hair follicles; this is the main reason for hair loss too.

2. Foods that contain animal protein:

Protein is essential for hair growth and strength.  But do not overdo it.  You can switch to vegetable proteins.  The composition of plant proteins contains the amino acid cysteine, which is involved in the production of keratin - the main building block for hair. Cysteine can be found in broccoli, red peppers, and wheat germ.

3. Foods low in Iron and Zinc:

Eating without these essential minerals can promote weak and dull hair. (2) To strengthen your hair, eat beef, chicken, fish, legumes, and beans, which are good sources of iron.  To get zinc, eat seafood and whole grains. You should start to intake iron and zinc food for hair loss remedies.

Fish is rich in fatty acids and therefore stimulates hair growth.  But be careful not to get carried away with fish high in mercury such as sea bass, marlin, swordfish, and others.  Eating such fish can lead to hair loss. Better opt for salmon, white tuna, and halibut, which is rich in magnesium.

5. Alcohol:

Beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages can interfere with the absorption of zinc, a beneficial mineral for hair health.  In addition, alcohol dehydrates our bodies, which negatively affects the condition of our hair.  Alcohol makes hair drier, brittle, and prone to breakage. Now, you have understood what causes hair damage, and you should avoid alcohol.

6. Fried and Fatty Foods:

Foods high in saturated and hydrogenated fats can clog the pores on your scalp.  This leads to hair loss. Therefore, you should not overuse margarine, baked goods, and crackers.

7. Carbonated Drinks:

Carbonated drinks are considered one of the most highly acidic foods.  Their frequent use is fraught with poor nutrition of the scalp (3) and hair loss.  It is best to replace carbonated drinks with alkaline vegetable juices.

They contribute to the normalization of the pH balance of the cells and the noticeable strengthening and growth of hair.  The most useful are juices from carrots, celery, cauliflower, cucumber, and beetroot.
